Countdown: 7 days to go before my kidney transplant.
We've been waiting for this and each day, I thank God for my son Jeremiah Joenard Olivas Gallo who decided to share a kidney with me.
Who would have thought, when I carried him in my arms 26 years ago, that this tiny one would one day decide to share a part of himself with me to extend my life.
End-stage kidney failure is scary and difficult. Words can't describe it. Only another kidney failure patient knows how it is.
We hang onto hope, while we do the next best thing.
Praise God for being THE GOD of many chances. It's all about grace.
